Fit to a T: Spray-on Clothing, Craft, Commodity Fetishism and the Agency of Objects,” Journal of Utopian Studies 22 no. 2 (2011): 285-302.  An essay about spray-on clothing and its implications for the ways we understand craft and discuss body image.

The White Elephant in London: An Episode of Trickery, Advertising and Racism,” Journal of Social History 43, no. 1 (2009): 31-66. An essay about the exhibition of an elephant in the London Zoological Gardens in 1884, the controversy about race and authenticity that it inspired, and the ways in which the episode was memorialized in advertisements and language. Matthew Wills wrote about this essay for JSTOR Daily.

The Quai Branly Museum: Representing France after empire,” Race & Class 47, no. 4 (2006): 46-65.  An essay about debates that preceded the opening the Quai Branly Museum in Paris, and the ways in which these discussions reflected France's relationship to and understanding of its colonial past.
